What eTips Tools is

eTips Tools is a catalog of free web utilities: calculators, converters and generators that run directly in your browser, with no account and nothing to install. All processing happens on your own device.

The site is not a product we designed to sell. It is the by-product of a habit: whenever we needed a specific tool on a project —encoding a URL, working out a margin, validating a sitemap, generating a test RUT— we built it instead of looking for it. Over time enough of them piled up that publishing them made sense.

Who we are

eTips Tools is a project by eTips Chile (eTips Tips Electrónicos SpA), a company based in the Metropolitan Region of Chile, operating continuously since 2011.

We started as a boutique software factory, deliberately small, building custom software. Over the years the focus shifted. We are still a technology company, but the work now points at something more specific: helping companies sell more, always resting on technology and technical marketing.

That shift explains the site you are reading. Working in technical marketing means spending your day among parameterized URLs, QR codes, UTM campaigns, sitemaps, color conversions and margin spreadsheets. The tools in this catalog came out of that.

Why we publish these tools

Any AI assistant can explain to you today what URL encoding is or how a margin is calculated. But not everyone has a paid plan, tokens available around the clock, or the time to phrase the question properly. And for repetitive, mechanical tasks, opening a chat is slower than pasting text into a field and hitting a button.

That is why every tool does two things: it solves the problem instantly and, further down, explains what it is doing and why. No sign-up, no usage limits, and nothing sent to any server.

How the site is funded

eTips Tools is funded through Google AdSense advertising. That is what lets us keep every tool free, with no registration and no usage quotas. We would rather say it openly than leave it to be inferred: the ad blocks you see are the reason the site can stay free.
